Welcome to Liberty Speakers, we are a diverse group with members from all walks of life with a vision to create a safe space for you to discover your hidden speaking voice and to develop your public speaking and leadership skills. Developing these skills will enable you to demonstrate your newly honed skills in your community, your working environment and to your family and friends resulting in building better relationships in all aspects of your life.

How We Do it

Every Toastmasters club shares the same mission, clearly defined in the following mission statement:

We provide a supportive and positive learning experience in which members are empowered to develop communication and leadership skills, resulting in greater self-confidence and personal growth.

Toastmasters provides 6 specialized learning paths for members to choose from that enable them to become confident public speakers and leaders. All Pathways help to structure speeches from Icebreakers to Keynotes. It is a multimedia learning experience, written, verbal and video.

However, at Liberty Speakers, we are innovative with our meetings and roles. And our lively learning environment also sets our club apart. Our fellowship includes experienced and contest-winning members who are willing to mentor. There is a camaraderie that encourages and uplifts members whether they are speaking for the first time or the 50th. And we take a novel approach to our Toastmasters meetings.

What To Expect

At Liberty Speakers, we divide our meetings into two halves. In part one, members deliver prepared speeches on a variety of exciting subjects. Each address is evaluated by a fellow member to assist the Speaker to improve. Members and guests then vote for the best speaker.

In part two members and guests can participate in Table Topics, impromptu speaking for a minute or two on a topic chosen by the Table Topics Master. Never be afraid to be stuck in the lift again!

Liberty Speakers Toastmasters provides a secure and affordable educational basis for developing communication skills. Every meeting is a learning opportunity, and you are guaranteed to learn something new and overcome any fears of public speaking.

Toastmasters International is a non-profit educational organisation.

We meet online every first Thursday and in-person every third Thursday of the month.
